Investing in a Sustainable Flower Agriculture

ISFAT is the acronym of "Investing in a Sustainable Flower Agriculture and Trade”: the project, financed by the EUROPEAN COM della Riviera (Italy), the applicant for the project, has relationships for the information exchange since this year.

 

EU project on sustainable floriculture concluded in Sanremo

On March 16th to 19th took place in Sanremo the final meeting of the Eu Project called ISFAT (Investing in a Sustainable Flower Agriculture and Trade). Financed by the European Union within the framework of Asia Invest Program, ISFAT project has involved different countries as Italy, Belgium, France, Bulgaria, Bangladesh, Pakistan and India with the purpose of developing the floricultural sector and SMEs competitiveness, and putting the basis for setting up a system of social/environmental standards and a uniform code of conduct addressed to and for benefit of flower growers.
Successful ISFAT meeting in India

On the first week of December the second meeting of the “ISFAT” project (Investing in a Sustainable Flower Agriculture and Trade), financed by the EU in the programme ASIA Invest, to promote and help the development of new economic relations between Europe and Asia, took place in Calcutta. UCFlor – Sanremo Flower Market, applicant of the project, was invited by the Indian Chamber of Commerce of Calcutta, with the other partners of the project, representing Chambers of Commerce and stakeholders from Belgium, France, Bulgaria, Bangladesh, Pakistan and Indonesia.
